The David and Barbara Pryor Center for Arkansas Oral & Visual History
During my nearly 3 years at The Pryor Center, I spearheaded the social media presence from start to finish. Prior to my arrival, their social media presence was minimal, and their website traffic reflected that. By converting pre-existing long-form videos into digestible, bite-sized content for varied audiences, I directed traffic back to the primary website and archives. Once I had created a cohesive and recognizable brand, I deployed ongoing campaigns, during which I wrote copy, designed assets, researched history, and adapted content in accordance with trends.
Pryor Center Presents
The Pryor Center hosted multiple events per year, ranging from educational lectures to film festivals. I designed and distributed promotional materials for these events, including outreach and marketing on social channels and brochure design for in-house events.
KATV Video Archive
The Pryor Center staff oversaw a massive restoration effort of vintage film from KATV, a local broadcasting station. Part of this content promotion was a weekly spotlight on "Ozarks at Large," a radio show hosted by Kyle Kellams and the Pryor Center's Randy Dixon. Relevant clips were coordinated and posted every week. Additional KATV clips were used in social media marketing to showcase the work being done at The Pryor Center and became some of the most beloved content available on our platforms.
The Razorback Band Digital Archive
In the summer of 2021, the Razorback Band partnered with The Pryor Center to create an online archive of performance footage from the 1960s to present day. I had the opportunity to promote the collection, highlighting the video and photos housed in the archive.
Arkansas Memories Project
Every week, I spotlighted an individual from our Arkansas Memories Project collection of notable change-makers from around the state. Over two days, I used quotes from their interviews to highlight their stories and invited our audience to engage with their stories through a #FactorFiction question every Friday.
